It is difficult to talk or even write about certain aspects of psychological states not at least for me in this instance because of a physical or emotional discomfort but because of a greater understanding of it. I mean a taking away of yourself from the events that are difficult to speak creating an outward observation of the emotional blocks that plague us in your own mind. If we can take ourselves away from ourselves or see ourselves in our own minds eye this helps us become unbiased by our own selfish desires. This helps us see us in a new light, in the way that perhaps God would see us. Let me use an example to bring this more meaning. Imagine a large road like a highway with many lanes. The beginning of the highway is our birth and the end of it is death and everything in the middle is our life here on earth continuing on through our path. Let’s say for this example there are five lanes but ultimately there can be a trillion or even more continuing into the infinities that is our makeup and psyche. But I’ll use five lanes for this basic example and there are five cars. The center car represents our submarine… our physical body that is propelled forward through time at a constant rate, and the two cars on both sides of the center one are our emotions, feelings, thoughts, understandings, knowledge, they are our psyche, our consciousness. The five cars are all tied together with a tether that stretches for the span of the highway or our life. So at the beginning of our life our center car which is our body and all the cars on the side of us which are our consciousness are all starting at the same place and going the same speed but as life continues many of our cars might hit speed bumps that shake or slow that part of your mind a bit but ultimately catch back up to the center car. There might be times when your cars go over rough road or the road turns to rocky mountains, and all of the other cars are sluggish and not performing well or keeping up with the center car but I say a lot of these things are what makes us strong and intelligent because ultimately in these cases the side cars get back onto the road or back in their own lane and catch back up to your center physical life car, but then when you are ten years old you witness something horrible, something so horrendous that it traumatizes your little mind. Your center car keeps going but that part of your consciousness hits a road block and the tether starts to stretch out extending back from the center car which is your body continuing to progress forward in life. In severe instances where the car might crash or become completely destroyed I think of these times as when a mental illness might start to show its ugly face in a person. These times don’t go away, they are a part of our being, they are a part of our center car that is being held back by a horrible car wreck. And as life continues to the end of the highway where your center car dies what happens then? What happens to our consciousness when there is no physical submarine propelling us forward? All the tension built up from that never unresolved or unfixed car wreck snaps us back to that or those instances which is ultimately what damns us from progressing any further. This is what ghosts are, traumatized souls that can’t leave an unresolved or unblocked moment in their physical life so they linger in a damned state of being. I wonder how many of us walk around with car wrecks on our souls. So many more than I probably think… Now, when something truly horrible happens I believe that the physical body can even slow. Have you ever seen someone with a dark aura or felt tired or deathly around someone? When people dwell upon traumatizing events in their lives it slowly but surely creates a sickness in the mind. We can go on for innumerable pages over mental illness but I just wanted to touch on it. I just wanted to touch on the fact that thoughts can make us physically sick, can make us mentally sick and kill the soul. Thoughts are as real as a baseball being pitched at your head. They have substance and energy that impact not just ourselves but everyone around us truly in a physical form. That’s why Prophets have exhorted us to be clean in mind, not just our actions but our minds as well. “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” To end this I would like to say a few things about the gospel. I think about Pre. Monson and the Apostles as exactly what they are, seers and revelators. I believe whole heartedly that all of these men have been tried be fire in this life and possibly have had many car wrecks that hindered their eternal progress for a time, however I personally believe that this time in their lives that their side cars, their consciousness’s are not only up right there by the center car but all ahead of it and passing up the very bounds of the end of the highway already only waiting for the physical center car to come to its end so when it does their consciousness’s will not only not be damned but rapidly continue progressing into the next level of this ultimately brilliant masterpiece that is the Plan of Salvation. Their consciousness is not dwelling on the time that they lost a family or close friend, and it is not dwelling on how they are going to look that day, it’s not dwelling at all but it is thinking, it is thinking and pondering on what is beyond us, on what it is when we are away from ourselves in a helicopter that sees our highway from the sky, and sees all the potential and real damning roadblocks and car wrecks of our lives. They see the ways that people and nations and the world and the universe move and understand what needs to happen to prepare those that would listen. They are seers because they are not blocked by emotional trauma, they have had extreme emotional pains but have with eternal help fixed their cars that have crashed, and not only fixed them but gave them jet boosters and wings of new understanding and enlightenment which ultimately led them to the point in which they are now, Prophets of God.

What do you Believe?
I know no one wants to hear me yap on about time again but I figure no one has to read this if they don’t want, but I recommend you do... I want to start off by asking the question, What do you believe?
Well, what do you believe? Do you believe you are breathing air? Do you believe that you can see? Do you believe that you have friends? Do you believe that those friends care about you? Do you believe in life after death? Do you believe there is a God? Do you believe in true love? Do you believe you have lived a long life? Now, would you say that you believe some of these things, and that you know other things, or that you don’t believe some of these things, or you simply don’t know some of these things.
Some people would say, well, I know I can see because I’m reading this right now with my eyes, but God, you can’t see God, even air molecules we have scientifically seen, but God? out of the question because there is no proof and never will be.
If this is the case, how can some people say that they know there is a God? Some might say that they don’t know, they are just being fools and hoping in something that is unseen and unknowable simply out of fear or some other greater need to believe in something greater than themselves. But certain individuals will boldly state that they KNOW without a shadow of a doubt there is a God. How can this be? The spirit? The Holy Ghost Testifies of truth? But yet you can’t see it with your eyes, where is the proof? Well something I believe is that there is remarkable proof. I’m not going to try and scientifically prove God(not that I think we couldn’t do that) but I want to delve into the mind of our being. What is proof anyway, something real? Something evident? Well, let me try and share with you something real and something evident.
I believe in something very careful. Something delicate. I need to explain this in certain examples so I will ask a question, how old are you? I want to do a little experiment so after you read the next few sentences I want you to close your eyes and remember. Remember things that happened to you a week ago, and then a month ago, then a year, then go back five years, go back ten, twenty years ago, the very first memories you can recall. Take a deep breath and close your eyes now and remember events in your life going backwards in time for a minute.
(Don’t read any further until you’ve done that…)Alright, I hope you did that. When doing this remembering thing you may have recollected more powerful moments in your life that impacted you on a deeper level then the regular trivialities of our being. Recalling close friends, really funny moments, really happy moments, or really sad times, or maybe you remembered just average, everyday events. Now regardless of what you remembered, I ask the question, are those memories real? Did they ever happen? Can you prove to someone else that a specific one of your memories really did happen? And then actually get them to care about it? Now think ten years in the future. Seems a long ways away right? But ten years from now if someone told you to remember back ten years ago you might think of this moment and your thoughts will bring you here in an instant. What is our existence? Our life only seems long when we think about the future, but in this moment our past all flies by us like lightning. You just recalled twenty years of your life in a few moments time. I remember events when I was a child and everything then seemed so different, so different in fact that it almost to me now doesn’t even seem real. But it was, it happened, I was a baby and it was all real, but it doesn’t seem it. Our minds, our beings are here and now in this very moment and can so easily not be able to focus on anything other than the here and now. If we could take ourselves away from ourselves at this time we can see beyond what physical proof is and then understand how limited physical proof is. I think of the ant that only sees the crack in the sidewalk and not only doesn’t know but can’t comprehend the construction workers that built it.
What is real? If the here and now is real, then twenty minutes ago before you started reading this was real and the twenty minutes before that and that thing that you can’t even remember an hour ago was real as well. Pretend for a moment not that you are the ant but overlap the ant example with your actual being right now. Follow the crack in the world that you used to get home tonight and then all of the sudden zoom out and see the construction worker that built your crack in the sidewalk, or your path. The ant can’t fathom how we built the sidewalk, it can’t even begin to think about it let alone the universe that we gaze into every night. You and I are not real to that lowly creature because it can’t understand, the only thing that is real to that ant is getting from one moment to the next and feeding its instinctual needs. We are blessed, because we are not damned to that level of intelligence, we can progressively continue on in understanding what truly is real and becoming more familiar with new and enlightening truths. This is why people can say they KNOW there is a God because they do, and the people that need physical proof to make them believe are like the ant who only delves deeper into its broken dark concrete corridors of existence, not ever thinking on who made those walls that surround them and only feeding off of what is real to them. The word “real” is so relative. There is an ultimate real truth out there, but the reason it is relative is not because it differs, but because of our understanding of what it means. So we are relative, it is constant. When we start to immerse ourselves into this type of thinking it is like a whole new world of reality is opened up. I’m not suggesting that we live in a Matrix type world but in the slightest degree we are. When someone comes upon new or greater truth they are opened up to a new world of existence and what was real for them before suddenly isn’t so real because they understand a higher law of being. Like when people join the church.
I only sigh and feel helpless when it comes to describing these matters to others because of how strange it can sound but it is true and I feel obligated to express it in some way.
Just break away from your regular thought patterns and think about something new that stirs new insight into something that interests you. Think about what is real and what isn’t. when someone does something terribly wrong, yes it is true that that person did it but what that person did is not TRUTH, yes it is an actuality that that person did something really wrong but it is not REAL. Truth is something grand you can feel in the air, and Real is something you can see when your eyes are closed. So is God Real? Well, of course He is.

Poor Man of Grief
poormanofgrief.blogspot.com is now my official pic blog. I'm going to start taking a bunch of more pictures but for now I'm going to upload several I think some of you have already seen but I just want to get them onto a blog and out of the way. enjoy A Poor Man of Grief. go there now...
A Poem of Poems
A Poem of Poems
I kneel in prayer and confide in My God
And on My Sunday Remembered reflect,
Through the blackest of valleys I’ve gravely walked,
Yet the flowers left there I’ve the utmost respect.
I speak as I feel My Angel so near
Who guides me to bless My Ghost tonight,
A Solemn Man I am as a salty tear
Drips through my hands clenched so tight.
As a Crumb of Bread I fly through the Stars
On the Winds of Yore so fine,
Reflect I, on everything that is ours,
While I try to Share a True Love Divine.
I do Believe though I’ve a Mountain to Climb,
A Gift Wrapped Present’s at the end of the roads
Filled with A Few Simple Words and Truth Divine,
Even for the lives of the Oddest of Odes.
Also, it’ll be no Yesterdays Ghost,
And I pray for the Grumpy Old Men,
And the Dreamers that in their own wisdom boast
But are blind to their very own Good Friend.
And no one will say, “I’m Beautiful Now,”
They’ll say, “You always were,”
And I’ll Cry into the Arms and ask My God how?
On a Moonlit Walk in a warm December.
With a Heart on Fire I duly weep,
And give thanks for Angelic Peace,
For my spirit to yours will truly creep
As you start to grasp my Masterpiece.
